The Rebels have major turf wars with the Bandidos and the Hells Angels. The turf wars have left many dead, on both sides, and property destroyed. In 1997, 3 Bandidos, including the President and sergeant-at-arms were shot dead in Sydney. Two Rebels were sentenced to 28 years in jail. Rebel warehouses, clubhouses and cars have all been destroyed during these turf wars. In 1999, 3 Rebels were killed and 2 others seriously injured in Adelaide in a turf war with the Hells Angels. In 2007, the Rebels declared war on the Bandidos. In 2008, the Bandidos boss was murdered in a drive-by shooting. Two Rebels were jailed for this.
